ITMS – IT monitoring system for Structural funds and Cohesiv

Client: CFCU- program PHARE (Ministry of building and regional development)

Electronic support for the management of structural funds was one of the basic criteria for the integration of SR into EU. This ITMS system was launched on May 1st, 2004, the day SR joined the EU. ITMS offers valuable support for the whole process of managing aid from the structural funds and the cohesive fund. ITMS was created to ensure consistency and transparency of the whole process and its compatibility with established methods and standards.

Originality of the solution

• The character of this solution led to a search for balance between the need to unify the processes and the need to take into account specific department processes. The support for the specific processes is based on modifiable sequence of individual steps of the process through transient state.
• integration with economic agenda of Slovak Republic
• ITMS system is connected to systems executing payments- e.g. funds information system, budgeting information system. Thus, automatization and verification of financial operations with direct feedback to financial managers of the structural funds and the cohesive fund is ensured in the ITMS.

Internet access

This solution also cooperates with an information portal “Strukturalne fondy” [structural funds]. The system takes information from the electronic application for financial contribution from EU funds. The application form is publicly accessible on an information portal for EU funds.

This project was awarded 1st place in “Prize of ITAPA 2004” in the category “Process improvement”.
